Advertisers Moodboard
Using this moodboard has helped me to identify what brands my target audience generally enjoy and partake in, which in turn helped me to identify which brands I could try to enlist to advertise in my magazine. Along with this, featuring articles about these brands, especially the more music related ones, such as Spotify, Skull Candy, artists tours, and so on would still relate very heavily to the topic of my magazine, and to the interests of my audience.

Colour Moodboard
The selection of colours used here are often associated with more 'alternative' music, thought the purples to a lesser extent. Through using these colours, it would make my target audience clearer for anyone glancing over my magazine, as opposed to using bright blues, or pinks, or so on, which may give a very different impression. Ultimately, the design ended up with the colour scheme consisting of the reds, black and white, which fit well with the themes, and the audience. Not only this, but the colours work very well together, and are seen in a lot of other 'alternative' magazines, such as Q, NME, and Rolling Stone, so sticking to the conventions of magazines which my audience may already be interested in will help gain their attraction further.

Magazine Target Audience Moodboard
Knowing your target audience is key to knowing exactly what to feature in your magazine. Therefore, doing moodboards like this is very beneficial. My audience is generally more feminine, however there is a lot of androgynous appeal through some parts of the featured musicians and topics here, such as Star Wars, Netflix, Spotify, Blink-182, and so on. Being able to include these features in my magazine would aid me greatly in being able to attract and keep the audience present.
